Writer: CA.Vipul JainCA.Vipul Jain

Vastu Shastra is an ancient Indian science of architecture that aims to create a harmonious living space by balancing the energies in the environment. Here are some tips on how to check the vastu of your home:

Entrance:

The entrance of the house is very important in Vastu. It should be well-lit, clutter-free, and welcoming. The main entrance should be in the east, north, or northeast direction. Avoid having the entrance in the southwest or southeast direction.

Living Room:

The living room is where the family spends most of their time. The living room should be in the east, north, or northeast direction. Furniture placement should be such that the family faces east or north while sitting.

Kitchen:

The kitchen is a vital part of the house. The kitchen should be in the southeast direction. The cooking stove should be in the southeast corner of the kitchen.

Bedroom:

The bedroom should be in the south, west, or southwest direction. The bed should be placed in such a way that the head faces south or east.

Bathroom:

The bathroom should be in the west or northwest direction. The toilet seat should be placed in the south or north direction.

Colors:

Colors play an important role in Vastu. Each direction has a specific color associated with it. For example, the east direction is associated with white, the north direction is associated with green, and the south direction is associated with red. Use colors according to the direction of the room.

Ventilation:

Proper ventilation is essential for good Vastu. Make sure there is enough natural light and air circulation in the house.

These are some basic guidelines to check the Vastu of your home. You can consult with a Vastu expert for more specific advice based on your home's unique characteristics.
